Here is a recipe I got from a friend (THANK YOU Deborah) for Homemade Laundry Soap. She had made a comment of how clean and good her clothes smelled, so I thought I’d give it a try. I LOVE the smell, and it has also saved me LOTS of $$$ making it. My hubby walked in and saw the boxes in the laundry room and said he felt he walked into the 1950’s!  Give it a try!

***Laundry Soap (DRY)***

* 1 grated bar of soap (Fels Naptha, plain Ivory, etc.; just as long as it is plain and doesn’t have any colors, perfumes, or lotions in it)  I use Fels Naptha, it smells SO GOOD!!!

* 1 cup Borax –

*1 cup Super Washing Soda (Arm & Hammer)

* 1 cup Baking Soda

Blend all ingredients well using a food processor if possible. ( I just put all in a plastice container with lid and shook it)

Use 1 tablespoon for a light load, or use 2 tablespoons per heavy load. Safe for HE, front load, septic, etc.

I normally grate the bar down with a cheese grater. It does take some time, but it works really well.
I found all of this at Krogers.

I have been such a slacker in doing what I love and that is
sharing the tons of recipes I have. I’d be in the kitchen 12 hours a day trying
different recipes if I could. I guess the love to do that comes from my Mother.
She was a awesome cook and baker, and Mother and wife. Thank you Mom for all
that you taught me!!!
One of my New years resolutions is to seriously post a new
recipe each day.
As this year comes to a close, I pray Love, Hope,
Joy
and Peace be with you always and Blessings for you and your
families this coming 2012!
